Reintegration and Community Support
The Reintegration and Community Support Program (RCSP) provides support to youth being released from detention and custody as well as youth who are before the court, not yet sentenced. The program is delivered primarily through one on one support services using an outreach model. The goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for early intervention by effective community support systems and addressing individual risk factors and strengths for youth.
Programming is designed to address:
- Anger Management
- Substance Awareness
- Employment
- Education
- Healthy Relationships
- Life Skills
- Victim Impact Awareness
- Crisis Support
Referral Process:
Youth, parents, community partners including court personnel (Duty Counsel, Defence Counsel, Crown Attorney), school, detention facility, can refer to participate in the Reintegration & Community Support program. The referring person can complete the referral form and fax or deliver to Dalhousie Youth Support Services.
